Expeditions

Pirate Battles comes with 20 expeditions (each with it's own island). Typically, before each expedition you add a new player to the team. Some of the battles get huge later on in the season! All are different to give you a tremendous gaming experience. Since the pirates will play and develop their team differently each time you'll be able to play Pirate Battles over and over again without being able to predict what the pirates will do.

Every island has 3 possible starting locations for both the pirates and navs which means there are 3 x 3 = 9 possible starting combinations.

Here's the description of the first 10 expeditions in the Professional Version.

Expedition #1 - Boot Camp: To learn the basics about Pirate Battles. No Treasure Chests, just both sides starting close to each other.

Expedition #2 - Emerald Island: Small island with 3 treasure chests. The key battle will be over the middle treasure chest.

Expedition #3 - Mystery Island: Medium island with 5 treasure chests. Better have some runners to cover the long distances. The middle two treasure chests hold the key to victory. But don't take your close treasure chests for granted.

Expedition #4 - Breakneck Race! Small to Medium size island with only one treasure chest right in the middle of the island. You'll have to race to get there either first, or in time to catch the pirates. Or, if you can find the pirate ship and if it's close, you can ambush the pirates on their way back.

Expedition #5 - By the Dawn Light: Medium to large island with 5 treasure chests. Visibility is only 50%. Hard to see the pirates.

Expedition #6 - Jackpot! Large island with only 7 treasure chests in the middle of the island. You'll have to race from your ship to the middle and then split up in a mad dash to get the majority of the treasure chests.

Expedition #7 - Spider Island: Large island with 9 treasure chest all over an island full of hills and valleys. The treasure chest locations are NOT on the overhead map, you'll have to find the red X treasure markers yourself!

Expedition #8 - Crowded Race: Medium to large island with 3 treasure chests. Navs and Pirates always start next to each other! Do you race them or fight them?

Expedition #9 - Christina Island: Large island with 9 treasure chests. The treasure chest locations are NOT on the overhead map, you'll have to find the red X treasure markers yourself! Has more clear terrain than the Jackpot island so in certain parts of the island you'll be able to see the pirates far away.

Expedition #10 - Flea Island: Large island with 9 treasure chests. Do you go for the scattered Treasure Chests or the group that's close together?
