Explain Toolbar Buttons

New Game: Start a new Pirate Battles game.

Open A Saved Game: Open and start playing a Pirate Battles saved game.

Save Game: Save the current Pirate Battles game and continue playing.

Go To Previous Player In List: All navs have a player number. If there are 10 on a team the numbers will range from 1 to 10. This button will take you to the next player lower down (smaller number) in the list who is not a prisoner.

Go To Next Player In List: All navs have a player number. If there are 10 on a team the numbers will range from 1 to 10. This button will take you to the next player higher up (larger number) in the list who is not a prisoner.

Play Game At Normal Speed: Play the game at normal speed.

Play Game At 1/2: Play the game at 1/2 speed. Useful, when it's important to react to what the close pirates may do and for trying to capture retreating pirates. Effects rate players move and the rate at which energy is restored.

Play Game At 1/3 Speed: Play the game at 1/3 speed. Useful, when it's important to react to what the close pirates may do and for trying to capture retreating pirates. Effects rate players move and the rate at which energy is restored.

Add Mercenary to Team: If you have any rubies then this icon of a person's head will be colored. When colored you add mercenaries to your team by pressing this button

Status Report: Lists most of the information you'll need including the number of players still not caught on each side.

Map: Brings up the map. Useful for selecting what part of the island to go to and to see where your navs and any visible pirates are located.

Pick Nav To Go To: Lists all navs still playing along with their energy and effective combat strength. Double clicking on a nav will center the screen on him.

Nav Player Panel: Brings up a panel that displays all of the information about the selected nav.

Pause Mode: Toggles the pause mode. When the hand is depressed the game is in pause mode. The clock is stopped and no energy is regained. To leave pause mode either click on this button or start moving a nav.
